Gloomy Sunday

I've had a couple of songs stuck in my head recently.

"Gloomy Sunday" is by Sarah McLachlan. It's a very slow, sad song but it's very romantic as well.

Sunday is Gloomy.
My hours are slumberless.
Dearest, the shadows I live with are numberless.
Little white flowers will never awaken you.
Not where the black coach of sorrow has taken you.
Angels have no thoughts of ever returning you.
Would they be angry if I thought of joining you?
Gloomy Sunday.

Sunday is gloomy.
With shadows I spend it all.
My heart and I have decided to end it all.
Soon there'll be flowers and prayers that are sad, I know.
Let them not weep.
Let them know that I'm glad to go.
Death is no dream.
For in death I'm caressing you.
With the last breath of my soul I'll be blessing you.
Gloomy Sunday.

Dreaming.
I was only dreaming.
I wake and I find you asleep in the deep of my heart dear.
Darling I hope that my dream never haunted you.
My heart is telling you how much I wanted you.
Gloomy Sunday.

"Deliver Me" is sung by Sarah Brightman. It's got a bit of a lighter tone and I've listened to this song in the past when I felt grateful for something.

Deliver me, out of my sadness.
Deliver me, from all of the madness.
Deliver me, courage to guide me.
Deliver me, strength from inside me.

All of my life I've been in hiding.
Wishing there was someone just like you.
Now that you're here.
Now that I've found you I know that you're the one to pull me through.

Deliver me, loving and caring.
Deliver me, giving and sharing.
Deliver me, the cross that I'm bearing.

All of my life I was in hiding.
Wishing there was someone just like you.
Now that you're here.
Now that I've found you, I know that you're the one to pull me through.

Deliver me.
Oh deliver me.
Won't you deliver me.

This song is not by Sarah McLachlan, it's originally written and performed by Reszo Seress. It's also known as "The Suicide Song" for prompting a rash of suicides when it was published around the world. The famous cover of said song is actually Billie Holiday's.

Just some helpful information from a fellow fan of this song. I hope all remains well for you as I see your blog has not updated since 2007.
